I no longer choose to self-identify on applications for fear of discrimination– haven’t for awhile, even though this helps little when I arrive for interviews. Black unemployment has spiraled out of control, sitting comfortably at roughly 14.3%.
A white male with a felony record is three times as likely to receive entry-level job offers than a black man with a college degree and no criminal record. Something’s wrong here.
